Babuyan na lang! Duterte wants 1-hour TV show to uncover ‘stink’ of Inquirer, ABS-CBN owners and their children
President Rodrigo Duterte has grown irate of media giants Philippine Daily Inquirer and ABS-CBN for their supposedly “rude, unfair and corrupt reporting” that has put the President in a bad light.

“Sumosobra kasi ang media eh. Binababoy na nila,” Duterte lamented during his speech in Malacañang adding that “kung ganon, I have a government station here, PTV-4. How do you suppose if I get one hour? Pupuruhin ko kayo araw-araw at istorya ko kayo mga buhay ng anak ninyo.”
Duterte expressed these views in the context of having these media companies exposed and information about them slanted so that they would feel what he feels when they slant news about him.
“I mean, huwag ninyo masyadong sobrahan because hindi naman ako mag-hurimentado but I will give you your dues also,” Duterte said.
The President is willing to utuilize government-owned PTV-4 as his venue for addressing and retorting the supposed slanted news Inquirer and ABS have against him.
“Huwag ninyong sobrahan ‘yan ‘yung slant. Napakabaho naman ninyo kayong mga Prieto, kayong mga Lopez. You’re full of shit,” Duterte said of the owners of Inquirer and ABS, respectively.
With these media companies’ tendencies to expose too much information on the life and even personal stories of Duterte, the President asked them how would they feel if they were the ones being exposed to the mass audience.
“Kayo kaya kung kalkalin ko ‘yung mga buhay ninyo? Mga anak ninyo? I am sorry to… Talagang smarting ako. Now is the… Kasi nandito kasi si Ramon Lopez, time for me to bull shit the Lopez, tutal hindi naman siya Lopez,” said Duterte.
Cases of presidents clashing with the press have been recurring in history such as when former President Joseph Estrada headed an advertising boycott against Inquirer and sued the Manila Times for their attacks against his administration.
