The controversial Naga Leaks published by anonymously ran We Are Collective blog has “crossed the line” for Vice President Leni Robredo who is now contemplating on pursuing legal actions against the allegations about her and her late husband.

The site questioned late Naga City Mayor Jesse Robredo’s political victory and accused him of being linked to drugs and illegal gambling.

It also claimed that Jesse was awarded the 2000 Ramon Magsaysay Award because someone pulled some strings to make him win, a claim disputed by the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation last week.

During an interview in Tarlac, Leni said that “noong sinet-up itong website, tinira nang tinira ‘yung yumao kong asawa. Tingin ko they have crossed the line.”

Leni asserts that since her husband is dead, he is defenseless from the attacks and accusations thrown at him.

“Yung asawa ko wala dito to defend himself. Kaya ‘yung sa akin, seriously nag-iisip talaga ng legal action. Pinag-aaralan,” she said.

Besides her late husband, Leni’s three daughters are also under attack from critics and bashers, some even threatening them online with rape.

“Sobrang daming tao ‘yung nadadamay na parang hindi naman pwedeng parang tumalikod na lang ako. Sabi ko nga, kung ako ‘yon hinahayaan ko. Kasi nandito pa ako para mapakita na hindi totoo ‘yon, pero ‘yung asawa ko, wala na eh,” she said.

In these blow by blow accounts of their family life, some possibly fake as Leni claims, the Vice President’s camp is considering filing a case against the anonymous website as a “principled response” against We Are Collective.

“We must put a stop to the massive and orchestrated campaigns of defamation and deceit that have come to characterize our public spaces, particularly social media, of which Jesse, me, and our family have also been victimized,” Leni said.
