Political science professor and political analyst slams Vice President Leni Robredo for claiming that she is now feeling the “creeping culture of hate” when her supporters had instigated the hate culture against Anti-Yellows even before the Naga Leaks.

Antonio Contreras disclaimed having ventured into the Vice President’s private life despite being critical of her.

“I shared #NagaLeaks not to shame you or Jesse but to educate people on public affairs and mythologies,” Contreras defended.

He further emphasized that in his criticisms against Leni “I have never attacked or vilified your supporters directly as persons by making unflattering memes of them. I never insulted their looks or demeaned their intellectual capacities. I have never written or called their employers demanding that they be sacked. I never aired any indiscretion or impute any crime on them.”

Contreras adds that while he considers Leni’s win in the vice presidential race as fraudulent, he has never directly called her a cheat.

However, despite the respect that Contreras accorded in his criticisms, Leni’s “trolls” disrespected his views.

“They called me names and called or wrote La Salle to fire me. Remember LilacSunsets? She even dug my suspension from UPLB and put a false spin to it. And worse, she even wrongly implicated me as the one who has a case for allegedly raping my own daughter,” Contreras explained.

The effect of these Yellow trolls has gone as far as beleaguering his academic credentials and free speech.

“And now you complain and you suddenly realized that there is a creeping culture of hate?” Contreras retorts.

In his full post, Contreras said,

Dear Leni,

You now feel the creeping culture of hate which I have endured and continue to endure from your supporters.

I have been critical of you Leni. But never have I ventured into your private life. I was very cautious not to share posts about your private relationships. I only revealed to the public the case involving my niece at CSI to put into perspective why I question your integrity as a public official. I shared #NagaLeaks not to shame you or Jesse but to educate people on public affairs and mythologies.

But please note that I refrained from sharing posts about your private indiscretions, or even that of Jesse. In fact, while I consider your election as fraudulent, I have never directly called you a cheat.

I have never attacked or vilified your supporters directly as persons by making unflattering memes of them. I never insulted their looks or demeaned their intellectual capacities. I have never written or called their employers demanding that they be sacked. I never aired any indiscretion or impute any crime on them.

But your trolls did not give me that respect. They called me names and called or wrote La Salle to fire me. Remember LilacSunsets? She even dug my suspension from UPLB and put a false spin to it. And worse, she even wrongly implicated me as the one who has a case for allegedly raping my own daughter. I have been called a faggot and an idiot. My academic credentials were questioned by people who hid in the comfort of anonymity. I have been betrayed by friends who liked posts that contained hate speech attacking me.

And now you complain and you suddenly realized that there is a creeping culture of hate?
Where have you been hiding, Leni? You are just too slow to feel the hate politics that your partisans have spawned, the hateful things that they do in your name, things I and others who are your critics have long endured and continue to endure.

You are clueless, as always.
