Journalist parodies drug war as heat waves
Facebook page Syet Da Pwet writes a satirical parody of how the anti-government views the drug wars by comparing actual circumstances to heat waves.
“Man walking the street in Manila dies because of the extreme summer heat! Family is distraught. Opposition cries EJK because there was no suspect and the government did not regulate the summer heat,” the satire goes referring to the faulty attribution of extrajudicial killings to the Philippine National Police (PNP) data of over 7,000 deaths occurring within the Duterte reign.
Upon clarification, only about 2,500 of the 7,000 are directly linked to police operations on illegal drugs.
The page included parodies of international bodies like Human Rights Watch, New York Times, and Agnes Callamard and how they magnified the issue about the “heat waves”.
In its full post on Facebook, the parody goes,
Man walking the street in Manila dies because of the extreme summer heat! Family is distraught.
Opposition cries EJK because there was no suspect and the government did not regulate the summer heat.
Human Rights Watch condemns Philippine government for cases of heat deaths. Brings case to ICC.
New York Times writes feature about oppressive heat causing massive deaths in Manila and blames the government and the president. They come out with a story Summer Heat Death: The Rise of a Strongman Controlling the Weather.
Agnes Callamard orders an investigation of EJK's borne of heat wave. Tells Manila government it is a case of genocide and war crimes.
China offers high capacity air conditioners to regulate Philippine weather. Opposition condemns government for accepting China's offer. Says aircon units are violation of Philippine territory and weather pattern.
Philippine VP records video to play at UN Weather Summit condemning the heat wave deaths. Claims it is a case of Palit-Panahon where the weather of South Africa is being exchanged for our weather.
VP heads to South Africa with powerhouse team composed of opposition people and lovers.
Meanwhile, the man who died from the heat was given free burial by DSWD, his family given jobs by DOLE, sent to a housing project by NHA, the kids given free education by DepEd, their health care taken care of by DOH and the relatives from overseas did not suffer from Laglag Bala at the now properly managed airport.
But this is Fake News, so what the hell!!!
