“Kayo ba naniniwala na political prisoner si De Lima?” Duterte asked the audience during his speech at the celebration of People’s Day in Oriental Mindoro on March 29, 2017 (Wednesday).
De Lima was imprisoned for charges on illegal drugs that she allowed to proliferate in the New Bilibid Prison during her term as Justice Secretary.
“I’m being castigated by the EU. Ito namang EU for their naivete, I pity those guys,” Duterte remarked about EU even mentioning that the members are “terrible”.
“Without offending those guys– itong mga puti [may] pagkabugok talaga,” Duterte added.
The EU also called for an independent international investigation into the war on drugs after it has allegedly caused 7,000 deaths, a miscalculated figure propagated by news company Rappler.
“Marami raw akong pinatay, 10,000. T— ina, sobra naman yan!” Duterte remarked about the EU.
