Duterte said during his speech on March 8, 2017 (Wednesday) at the Philippine Councilor’s League that those who are high on drugs are both violent and armed which makes them dangerous.
He adds that these drug suspects are not one to loiter around without being armed.
“Ganoon talaga ang bangag, lumalaban. At alam ninyo lahat na — kayo nakakaalam. ‘Pag nasa droga ‘yung nagpapabili may armas talaga,” he said.
The President further emphasized that he has given his orders to the police, “go out and hunt for them. Arrest them if it’s still possible. But if they resist violently, placing your life in danger, shoot and shoot to kill. Inuulit-ulit ko na ‘yan.”
Despite the record of more than 6,000 casualties under his war on drugs campaign, the President reiterates that shooting the suspects are allowable if they turn violent.
