Duterte’s “legal minds” mocked by Ateneo professor: They’re not just dumb, but act like ‘cheap swindler panyeros’
The current administration has done several controversial moves that involve filing cases against Senator Leila de Lima and attacking administration critics to which a political science teacher in Ateneo de Manila University did not take kindly to.
I’m sorry if this is crass, but Duterte’s legal ‘luminaries’ are dumb,” Political analyst Lisandro Elias “Leloy” Claudio said in his opening statement in his Facebook post.
Claudio accused these legal “luminaries” of Duterte as vague, contradictory, conceited, panyeros, unknowledgeable in Latin, with poor layoutting taste, and poor wig taste.
Despite not having identified who he was referring to, Claudio gave obvious hints as to who has bad layouts and wigs.
Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II and Solicitor General Jose Calida are most likely Claudio’s targets in his Facebook post since Aguirre wears a wig and Calida’s Word Art layout of statement on de Lima’s case.
In his full post on Facebook, Claudio said,
"I'm sorry if this is crass, but Duterte's legal "luminaries" are dumb, murder the English language with Orwellian doublespeak, have an inflated sense of self importance, act like cheap swindler 'panyeros, use Latin words they do not understand, lay out their documents like tabloid newspapers, and one of them wears a terrible wig."
