One of their agenda is to express their support to President Rodrigo Duterte.
“What we want to convey is, hey, look at us here in Mindanao. You said we cannot unite but here we are in unison to support President Duterte,” said Sultan Kudarat 1st District Rep. Suharto Mangudadatu.
“Those who criticize the President are the persons who do not want peace,” said retired Col. Panga Ibay of the Iranun Sultanates Leagues of the Philippines.
They are supporting the move to peace talk with the Moro rebels and Duterte's war on drugs.
“We support that because crime incidents have gone down due to the campaign against drugs,” said Sultan Abdullah Tupaan Disomimba, chairman of the 16 royal houses of Lanao.
“This occasion will prove to the world that the Muslims are united in supporting the President Rodrigo Roa Duterte,” Sulu Sultanate spokesperson Abraham Idjirani said.
