During his message to the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) class of 1967 at the Cordillera Convention Hall of the Baguio Country Club last February 18, 2017 (Friday), he stressed that neither any member of his family nor himself has been involved in corruption.
“I’ve ordered AMLC and everybody to give information what’s my worth in this, in terms of pesos, in this planet,” the President said, addressing the allegations made against him.
He further disclosed that he has not signed any voucher for extra benefits or accepted allowances. He only gets his salary.
“Kaya ang gusto ko lang sabihin sa inyo, it’s politics again. It’s a rehash of what they… it is pure garbage," President Duterte added.
He gave his promise that “corruption will really be controlled or stopped” during his term, highlighting how he must primarily lead by example.
"You know our people have endured corruption all throughout the years. I would not like to be a person (who is) into the blame game," he said.
