President Duterte's Cabinet to discuss #LeniLeaks on Cabinet Meeting today
The controversial issue of #LeniLeaks or the plot to discredit President Rodrigo Duterte will be the agenda of the Cabinet meeting today.
Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar who made an interview with Sass Sasot and Thinking Pinoy said that the government intends to determine possible criminal charges against those involved.
Andanar said the government wants to "get to the bottom" of #LeniLeaks documents that went viral like a wildfire on social media.
"We will talk in the Cabinet tomorrow (Monday), I will bring this up. Secretary Jun Esperon will bring this up. And we will see kung ano iyong veracity nung reports na iyon," Andanar sain in a radio interview.
The Yahoo! group called 'Global Filipino Diaspora Council' was a group all about e-mail exchanges on how to unseat Duterte and destabilized the government headed by Loida NicolasLewis.
Meanwhile, in a statement released by Lewis, she denied the allegation about the oust plot to President Duterte.
"First: No plot to oust Duterte. Resign Duterte Movement is based on President Duterte's own words that he would resign if drugs are still rampant six month(s) after his inauguration."
"Second, Global Filipino Diaspora Council is a Public Site. If there is a conspiracy, would it be discussed in a public page?" she added.
"Dissent is NOT equivalent to a plot or conspiracy."
"In a democracy, opinions of varying shades, either praise or criticism, are a staple ingredient of a vibrant democracy," she said. "Since when has criticism become an element of sedition?"
