According to Politiko.com, a text message to House reporters from Alvarez saying:  “Considering the situation, I think she is FIRED!”

‎Robredo herself revealed that President Duterte asked her to "desist" in all Cabinet meetings starting on Monday, December 5.

‎”Cabinet Secretary Jun Evasco, Jr., relaying the President’s instruction through Bong Go for me ‘to desist from attending all Cabinet meetings starting this Monday, December 5,” Robredo said in her statement.

She said this was the last straw to Duterte’s subtle actions to make her look bad as head of the Cabinet’s housing portfolio.

‎The three signs that showed Duterte was setting her up for a fall were:

1) The budget for all key shelter agencies in 2017 has been slashed by more than P19 billion.
2) All key shelter agency appointment recommendations have not been acted on.
3) The Executive Order designed to make Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) effective was not signed.

Robredo also said in her statement that there was a plot to steal the vice presidency position  ‎from her.

"I had been warned of a plot to steal the Vice Presidency. I have chosen to ignore this and focus on the job at hand. But the events of recent days indicate that this plot is now being set into motion," Robredo said in her statement.

  1. I did read about her resignation? Sinibak ba kamo? Yes, that will be right of all the news. I reckon, it is just fair and proper that she is sacked because the job needs a work to do and to get action for the people are there asking for a help from the housing to have a roof over the heads of those victims and the poor urban places which needs help are not look at. The care of that position is really badly in need. She is enjoying her position by just giving bad comments about our dear Tatay Digong, which has no rest but is a workaholic in nature for the people that he loves so much, forgetting his own self. Our President needs a cabinet member who work and give the 100 percent loyalty for a 100 percent result. As what Sen Gordon commented, if she is not with the President's action for the poor, be it we will say goodbye to that yellow brick road head.

  2. "It's all quiet in the western (or is eastern) front." as the LP's number one spy has been removed from her post. There's no comment, no reaction, no nothing from the yellow camp as of this time regarding the sacking of Leni. I reckon this is the start of cleansing of the administration of the "undesireables", those appointed by Panot, who are just sitting there growing fat asses doing nothing for the country. Even those who "jumped over the bakod" are not safe. Everyone is now under scrutiny, just my assumption.
