Chinese ambassador: China will support and finance rehabilitation centers in the following years
According to Abs-Cbn News, Chinese Ambassador H.E. Zhao Jianhua said that illegal drugs are common enemies of the Philippines and China.
In a forum at Kamuning, Quezon City, Jianhua said that China is willing to support and build drug rehabilitation centers in the coming years since illegal drugs are "common enemies of all nations."
"The Chinese side will support and finance rehabilitation centers in the following years. As a matter of fact, there are Chinese businessmen who have been so generous that they donated one rehab center [that is] under construction," Jianhua said.
The rehabilitation center can accommodate up to 2,500 drug users and pushers which is located in a military camp in Manila.
The ambassador added that China also have the same problem of illegal drug and the country implements the death penalty on drug users and pushers.

"We also face serious drug problems, we're fighting against the drug related crimes in a very strict and firm manner," the ambassador said.
"China has death penalty. Anyone who is in possession of 50 grams of cocaine or something equivalent to that amount, he's going to be sentence to death penalty," he added.
