In a Facebook post, Embassy of the Netherlands in the Philippines said Dutch businessmen are on a 3 day trade mission to Manila with representative from 20 companies looking to partner with Filipino firms on infrastructure, water and agriculture, projects.
The team was led by Dutch Vice Minister for Foreign Trade Marten van den Berg.
“What I will tell the Dutch companies is please go to the Philippines, see the opportunities. In the end, it’s up to them to decide. We’re very happy to facilitate the trade, investment opportunities,” he said.
No deals were signed during the visit, however, Van den Berg said meetings in Manila were being scheduled.
“Dutch companies are looking for long-term relationships. For us, it’s not always important to have straight away contracts but starting good relations, looking for opportunities, discussing opportunities,” he said.
